I Workshop on Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy INA-LMA (Zaragoza, Spain). May 12, 2010

The 1st Workshop on Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy will be organized to celebrate the inauguration of the new Laboratory of Advanced Microscopy (Laboratorio de Microscopías Avanzadas, LMA) at the Instituto de Nanociencia de Aragón (INA) of the University of Zaragoza. The LMA has been created with the aim of supporting the scientific community with the most advanced instruments for characterization of materials by microstructural, scanning probe microscopy, and electron and ion microscopy techniques. For Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), the LMA is equipped with two last-generation aberration corrected microscopes for imaging and analysis with the highest spatial resolution. In this inaugural event, the most prominent international experts in the field will review the current panorama of advanced TEM techniques at the light of the new technical, theoretical and instrumentation developments of the last decade and their applications to the characterization of nanomaterials.
