The Director of Department, Prof. Maria Luisa Panno, is pleased to announce that at the Department of Pharmacy, Health and Nutritional Sciences, of the University of Calabria, Italy, the financed Master Degree Course in Nutritional Sciences has been activated for the second academic year. The Call announcement for the academic year 2021/2022 has been published. The Degree Course, taught in the English Language, stems from the aim set out in the International Cooperation Agreement signed in November 2015, at our University among the Signatory Countries of the UNESCO Dossier on the Mediterranean Diet: Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Spain.
The course has the objective to build a new figure of a modern nutritionist able to apply new technologies to assess food quality, safety and to prepare nutritional regimes to maintain good health and prevent related-diseases, such as, metabolic and chronic degenerative diseases. It is important to specify that, in the year 2018, the Department of Pharmacy, Health and Nutritional Sciences, was awarded as a Department of Excellence by the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System.
Merit Scholarships are provided for students enrolling in this Master Degree Course.
