This year we are happy to anounce that we are offering two different programs that can be combined in a 3-week Summer School experience:
-Our usual Biotech Summer School program from 27 July to 7 August 2026 focused on sustainable agriculture and microbial biodiversity, From invisible to indispensable: Harnessing unexplored microbial biodiversity for resilient and sustainable agriculture
-And an intensive French Language program from 19 July to 24 July 2026

Early Bird Cost (Before 31 March 2026): €1,450 (including breakfasts & lunches on weekdays, a farewell dinner, cultural activities, accommodation from 27 July to 7 August 2026 at the Ecla Residence (double rooms) – 2 minutes from campus – and a local transportation card).
Regular Cost (After 31 March 2026): €1,700 (including breakfasts & lunches on weekdays, a farewell dinner, cultural activities, accommodation from 27 July to 7 August 2026 at the Ecla Residence (double rooms) – 2 minutes from campus – and a local transportation card).
Overview
This summer school explores the role of environmental microbes in ecosystems and sustainable agriculture. Through lectures and hands-on workshops, participants will study microbial interactions with soil, plants, and humans, their contribution to ecosystem services and food security, and the impacts of modern farming practices. The program also introduces microbiome analysis techniques and bioinspired innovations in biological control and biostimulation, while fostering systems thinking to address complex environmental challenges.

Optional French Language Week
Students can begin the Summer School with an immersive week of French language and culture in Paris. Through intensive classes and cultural activities, they explore the French language, traditions, and way of life. Daily experiences rooted in local culture and historical sites deepen their understanding of France while strengthening their language skills.
