El jueves 1 de febrero de 2024 a las 12:00 se celebrará el seminario organizado por el Centro de Astropartículas y Física de Altas Energías (CAPA) de la Universidad de Zaragoza de título “How dark matter came to be: Experimental constraints on dark matter production mechanisms”, impartido por David G. Cerdeño, del Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) y la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Tendrá lugar en el Seminario de Física Nuclear, en el Edificio A (Física) a las 12:00 horas. Resumen (en inglés): Despite various decades of ongoing experimental efforts, the nature of the dark matter in the Universe remains unknown. Direct and indirect search methods have explored models of particle dark matter with increasing sensitivity, leading to strong constraints on their parameters. In this seminar I will review different ways in which dark matter might have been produced in the early Universe. We will then discuss if (and how) these mechanisms have been probed by current experimental searches.
