Seminario INMA-Impulso. "Quantum computing with spins in silicon".- Viernes 20 de enero

El próximo viernes 20 de enero tendrá lugar una nueva sesión del ciclo de conferencias INMA-Impulso, un ciclo de conferencias que trata de acercar la investigación más puntera a la sociedad.

La próxima sesión titulada: “Quantum computing with spins in silicon” correrá a cargo de Fernando González-Zalba- Quantum Motion - United Kingdom.

Resumen de la charla: Fernando González-Zalba focuses on developing a CMOS-based quantum computing architecture using state-of-the-art CMOS transistor technology. His are devoted to simplifying the architecture by reducing the complexity of the quantum circuit using novel high-frequency techniques such as “gate-based radio-frequency reflectometry”. This technique allows charge-sensing without the need of external electrometer sand performs at equivalent levels of sensitivity. Besides, it allows probing the dynamics of fast-driven two-levels systems (orqubits) leading to beautiful quantum phenomena such as Landau-Zener-Stuckelberg interferometry, Paulispin-blockade or Sisyphus dissipation. Recently, he has been working on integration CMOS digital and quantum electronics to facilitate data management in large scale quantum processors.

La conferencia tendrá lugar a las 12 horas en la Sala de Grados de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Zaragoza.
