Perfil
The candidate should have a background in Solid-State Physics or Materials Science, with a Master’s degree in Physics (preferably) or Engineering. Experience in experimental techniques, with emphasis on growth of materials or fabrication of devices, will be evaluated positively. Experience in the use of design software or simulation platforms (e.g. CAD, COMSOL Multiphysics or similar tools) will be a plus.
English proficiency (at least B1 level).
PhD status: applicants must not already be in possession of a doctoral degree at the date of the recruitment.
Mobility rule: applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before their recruitment date.

‘Molecule-based magneto/electro/mechano-Calorics’ (MolCal, molcal.eu) is a multidisciplinary and multisectoral Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network, which overarching scientific goal is the preparation of new molecular assemblies with outstanding potential as caloric materials for refrigeration and heat pump applications at near-ambient and very-low temperature.
The selected candidate will be employed for 36 months within MolCal, based in IMM-BO (Italy) and enrolled in the PhD programme in Physics at the University of Zaragoza (Spain).
The gross salary (not including the employer’s social contributions) will be 30.458,77€ per annum plus mobility and family allowances (when corresponding) as applicable and in line with the EC rules for MSCA Doctoral Networks 2022. Note: Employee's social security deductions will be applied to the gross salary, mobility allowance and family allowances (when applicable).
