Seminario CAPA: “Soundscape of gravitational waves: a new tool to access the fundamental blocks of the Universe”.- Jueves 22 de febrero
El jueves 22 de febrero de 2024 a las 12:00 h tendrá lugar un nuevo seminario organizado por el Centro de Astropartículas y Física de Altas Energías (CAPA). Será impartido en remoto por Diego Blas, con el título “Soundscape of gravitational waves: a new tool to access the fundamental blocks of the Universe”. Ponente (en inglés): Diego Blas is a researcher at UAB (Universidad Autónomade Barcelona) and IFAE (Instituto de Física de AltasEnergías). His research interests are in theoretical physics, gravitation and cosmology.
Abstract (en inglés): In this talk, current and future efforts to detect gravitational waves from Earth and space observatories will be reviewed. Diego will also emphasise the physical consequences of these searchers, in particular regarding fundamental physics (primordial cosmology, dark matter, modified gravity…)
