Seminario del Departamento de Física Teórica: “Axion-electrodynamics and instability in plasmas”.- Martes 17 de marzo
El martes 17 de marzo de 2026 a las 16:10 h se celebrará un nuevo seminario del Departamento de Física Teórica. Théo Abounnasr (investigador asociado en la Universidad de Toulouse, IRAP) impartirá la conferencia de título “Axion-electrodynamics and instability in plasmas”. Tendrá lugar en el Seminario de Física Nuclear, en la planta calle del Edificio A (Físicas).
Resumen (en inglés):
As a dark matter candidate coupling to the electromagnetic field, the axion has been the focus ofsignificant efforts to identify its signatures in the spectra of various astrophysical objects. These underlying radiative processes, however, often take place in ionized environments subject to plasma instabilities. In this talk, I will provide an overview of the theory of axion–plasma interactions, focusing specifically on the Buneman instability.
