Resumen conferencia: We will take a look at some classical results on random polytopes approximating a Euclidean convex body and compare them with more recent results in spherical geometry, that is, where the underlying convex body is a convex subset of the unit sphere. We will focus on asymptotic results on the expected volume and face-numbers of the random polytope as the number of generating points goes to infinity. In particular we will look at the case where the spherical random polytope is generated in a spherical wedge, where we recently found some new behavior.
